Completed accepting applications for the organization of sections in the framework of the ICBR

Call for Panels at the International Congress of Belarusian Studies (September 28-30, 2012; Kaunas, Lithuania) is open until March 5.

The sections (panels) can be dedicated to the discussion of individual research problems or the presentation of scientific results within individual disciplines or research areas. The Organizing Committee does not set any thematic or disciplinary restrictions for the submitted materials, leaving the opportunity for representatives of the academic and expert community to articulate their own priorities and interests.

The sections (panels) can be disciplinary, problem-oriented or even highly specialized. We also accept applications for organizing the sections for consideration of the topical social issues.

The Organizing Committee invites research organizations and communities as well as academic leaders to take part in defining the thematic priorities for the next Congress.

An application may be both collective and individual. The interested institutions and organizations may also act as applicants.

To apply before March 5, 2012, the following information should be submitted to the Congress’s e-mail icbs@palityka.org:

  1. preliminary section (panel) name;
  2. brief concept (about one paragraph);
  3. preliminary list of potential participants.

International Congress of Belarusian Studies is an annual meeting of Belarusian and foreign scientists, experts, analysts, representatives of public institutions engaged in Belarusian studies. The Congress gives the opportunity to speak for 150-200 professionals from different disciplines.
