Belarus begins exporting valenki to Europe

The only Belarusian producer of valenki – Smilovichi factory – intends to start exporting them to Austria . Vasily Saban, the director of the company, mentioned that the factory arranged preliminary agreements with three Austrian companies.

The first shipment – 1.5 thousand – the Smilovichi factory, which produces valenki since 1928, is going to send to Austria in November according to their deal with “Fochler Tissues”. This will be the first step in entering the foreign markets. According to Saban, the Scandinavian states might also be interested in Smilovichi products.
