We cordially invite you to the conference “Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum: Agenda for Belarus”, which is to take place on November 2, 2009 in Minsk. The
conference is organized in connection with the coming Eastern
Partnership Civil Society Forum (16-17 November, 2009) and the
invitation of the European Commission to a number of Belarusian civil
society organizations to be part of it.

Taking into account the importance of
the Civil Society Forum as one of key components of the Eastern
Partnership Initiative, and in order to secure transparency and
openness of the civil society dialogue, the conference organizers
invite a wide range of non-profit groups and associations, government
representatives and think tanks to participate in the conference
discussions. Questions on the agenda of the event include the following:
- Role of the Civil Society Forum in realization of thematic aspects of the Eastern Partnership initiative
- Aims and objectives of Belarus and its Civil Society within the Eastern Partnership Initiative
- Aims and objectives of Belarusian delegation at the EaP Civil Society Forum
Belarusian Civil Society organizations
would highly appreciate support and attention of their European
partners, and international foundations to this Conference as a way for
policy dialogue and open discussions that are of high importance for
Belarus at this stage.

In the application, please indicate your name, organization you
represent and the position you hold. Please make sure we receive your
full contact information (e-mail address, phone number). Because of
limited number of places, those who do not submit their applications
before the deadline will not be able to take part in the conference.
Those participants who wish to make a presentation during one of the
thematic sections of the Conference need to submit their theses to the

before October 28, 2009. Speakers for the panels will be selected by a
selection committee appointed by the organizers of the event. We
apologize in advance for possible decline of your application as the
conference will be able to accommodate only a limited number of
speakers.
