EU Project to Improve Children’s Gait Apparatus in Belarus Concludes its First Six Months

The EU-funded Project on Biomechanical Research and Elaboration of Methods to Improve Children’s Gait Apparatus from Podlasie and Grodno Regions in Belarus concluded first six months of its work. During this period the project finalised the first preparatory stage to the international conference on Biomechanics of Human Foot” to be held on 18-19 June 2008 in Grodno, Belarus.

Germany's Assistance Programme for Belarus has supported 120 projects over the last six years

The German Federal Government Assistance Programme for Belarus, enacted in 2002, has provided a framework for the support 120 'social issues' projects. This Programme is an example of successful cooperation between Belarus and Germany believes Dr. Astrid Sahm (Director of the Minsk-based J. Rau International Educational Centre and Coordinator of the German Federal Government Assistance Programme for Belarus) and Ms. Galina Veremeichik (employee of the J. Rau International Educational Centre).

Cooperative project restores the “from the Varangians to the Greeks Way”

In August the so-called “River bus” started taking regular runs in Vitebsk oblast (region).
This wheeled exhibition hall became one of the results of the “Dvina/Daugava panorama”, carried out cooperatively by Sweden (Gotland island), Latvia and Belarus (Vitebsky region – a region of West Dvina river).
