Teachers from Germany will teach Belarusian school children German language

"Broadening of partnership relations between Germany and Belarus in the future is possible within the framework of the initiative of Belarusian schools," expressed his opinion a Coordinator of the German Central Department of Secondary Education Abroad (ZFA), Mr. Rolf Hoffmann, at a ceremony of awarding Belarusian school children with the Highest Degree Diplomas in German Language held in Minsk on 13 May.

CORE for contaminated regions to survive

Twenty two years after the Chernobyl Catastrophe three main issues still remain: the radiological safety of food, the attitude of people towards low doses of radiation and the re-orientation of smallholdings. These important issues are being addressed within the UNDP Project "CORE Programme: Co-operation for Rehabilitation of living conditions in Chernobyl affected areas", which unites the efforts of the European Community and European Commission in particular via TACIS projects.
