The annual International
Performance Festival “NAVINKI – 2008” was held for the tenth time in Minsk. Apart from
the demonstration of the art performances prepared by artists, “NAVINKI – 2008”
presented open master-classes. The four-day Festival closed with an outing at

The European Union might ease visa formalities for Belarusian citizens and expand contacts with Minsk on a higher level in response to the Belarusian government’s move to release all political prisoners, Ceslovas Jursenas, speaker of Lithuania’s parliament, said in an interview with BelaPAN.

Belarusian sanatoriums are exceptionally popular
with foreign tourists visiting
Belarus.
During the first half of 2008 31.5 thousand citizens of other states have
improved their health there and the majority of them were Russians (about
60-70%). Last year the figure was 17.8 thousand. Latvians, Lithuanians, Germans
and Poles are also frequent visitors to these recuperation facilities.
