Belarus bans poultry import from Scanland, Sweden

On November 10 the main veterinary department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus imposed temporary restrictions on the import of live and processed poultry and also feedstuffs and feed additives from Skanland, Sweden where an outbreak of Newcastle disease was registered, BelTA learnt from Vitaly Masarnovsky, the chief veterinary doctor - state vet inspector of the main veterinary department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

Latvian company to build wind farm near Minsk

Latvian company Bio Plast will build a wind farm with a total capacity of 35 megawatts near Dzyarzhynsk in the Minsk region, Timur Shik, a legal expert at the company, said at a Belarusian-Latvian economic forum in Minsk on Thursday, BelaPAN said.
