OSCE issues final report on Belarus` parliamentary vote

mission of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights that
observed Belarus` most recent parliamentary
elections issued a final report, confirming its preliminary conclusions that
the vote fell short of international standards , BelaPAN said.

The European Commission welcomed the decision of
the Belarusian authorities regarding the dissemination of the oppositional
news-papers via the state-owned channels. The EU Commissioner for External Relations
and European Neighbourhood Policy Benita-Ferrero Waldner stated that she
welcomed the decision of the Belarusian authorities to implement concrete
measures in order to allow the printing and distribution of two independent
news-papers “Narodnaya Volya” and “Nasha Niva”, the European Commission representation
Office in Belarus told “Interfax”.

A presentation of a project related to the construction
of a bleached sulphate cellulose pulp production plant in Svetlogorsk will be made
this week at the First International Belarusian Investment Forum taking place
in
London.
The Belarusian
Investment Forum opened in the conference centre Church House in London. The Forum is Chaired by the Belarusian Prime
Minister Sergey Sidorsky, the news agency BELTA reports.

Zapata family this summer the issue of foreign recuperation travel of
Belarusian children still remains open. While the Irish Chernobyl organizations
talk about the ban on recuperation travel for Chernobyl

Chairman of the Central Electoral Committee of Belarus Lidiya Ermoshina should
be removed from the EU entry ban-list for Belarusian officials, said yesterday
the former Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Election Observation Mission of the last
parliamentary elections of Belarus, Geert Ahrens, “Yezhenedelnik”
reports.

The development of the economic cooperation
between Belarus and Germany serves as the best guarantee for good relations, BelTA learnt from Alexander von Bismarck,
great-grandson of the German Empire Chancellor Otto Eduard Leopold von
Bismarck, a representative of the German Society of Assistance in Development
of Political and Social Relations in Europe. Alexander von Bismarck is taking
part in the conference timed to the 90th anniversary of the end of World War I.
