Thursday, 11 June 2009
We
cordially invite you to take part in the conference “Visa policy in
the context of the EU and Belarus relations: the current situation and
prospects”, which will take place on 22 June 2009 in the conference
hall of Crowne Plaza Minsk at the address: 13, Kirov St. Within the
framework of the initiative of the Eastern Partnership, it is planned
to liberalize the visa regime between the partner countries and the
countries of the European Union. However, during this transition to
new forms of interaction, it is necessary to take into account the specificity
of the country, the current condition of its visa regime, and to carry
out an estimation of a degree of its readiness for transformations.
This week representatives of International Consortium EUROBELARUS participate in several events where the perspectives of Eastern Partnership program are under discussion. Preparing its presidency in The European Union Representation of EU in Sweden has initiated the Conference “Eastern Partnership – tool for democratic and economic stability” that took place on May 26, 2009 in Stockholm.
Between Stsilloy and Charybdis: fighting for energy corridor
Thursday, 02 April 2009
The European Union has loudly announced a new project of regional integration under its auspeces. The drafters of the project say that this informal association would include six republics of the former USSR: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. Who would benefit from the Eastern Partnership, the partner states or the Old Europe — the long run will show. Is the program a pro-Atlantic geopolitical project or only a tool for monitoring of the transit of energy resources supplied to the EU? The views of experts and politicians in this regard are still diametrically opposite.

condition of the democratization of the country.
